Last week Google announced that they are adding several updates to Google Analytics including the ability to graph multiple data points at once, ga.js tracking, and six new languages.
The major addition is the comparative reporting. Users can now choose two metrics and compare them on a graph. For example, visits can be compared against bounce rates. There are 25 metrics that may be compared to one another. Currently, the reporting feature only allows for two metrics to be compared.
Also, Google recommends you update your “urchin.js” JavaScript page code with the the new code that is located by going to the Website Profiles page, click “Edit” on the desired profile, then, “Check Status”. They state the the immediate benefit of installing the new code is the ability to track e-commerce transactions.
