Freicurv is a simple and elegant looking wordpress theme that is suitable not only for personal use but for various niche of blogs. This template can be used for either 2 or 3 column.

Freicurv originally a wordpress theme created by Flisterz. If you want know more about features and documentation then check here its only for wordpress theme. And some of the features I removed in blogger template. Hope I can give that features in coming days. Before Installing blogger template read following documentation which will help you to create template as shown in demo.

Documentation

1. Asides category

I removed this widget because I dont know what is asides and also I will not support in blogger template.


2. About me section and Profile Picture.



To create a About me section like above. Create a HTML widget and Paste following code.

Write an introduction or short biography here!

Replace "write an introduction or short biography here" with your. I mean, a short one. Dont remove the <> tag.

To change the profile picture, upload your photo or image in googlepages or any image hosting site and simply replace the url http://IMAGE-URL.com/PHOTO.JPG with your photo url. Default size is 78 x 79px.

3. Changing the title image

There’s a file named header_title.psd and header_title.png in the download zip file - choose the format you familiar with to edit the header title image. Remove the default text and insert you own. Export it to .jpg format and find

http://freicurv.googlepages.com/f_header_title.jpg

in your blog template and replace your header title image url. The code is used in CSS code. Its recommended use only image for title.

4. Highlighting author comment.

This feature is not available now. Later I will create this feature.

5. Subscribe via email link

Theres an email icon on top. You can see in Demo page. Create another HTML widget and place the following code.

Use this as a link for feed subscription via email. Get you SUBSCRIPTION LINK from you Feedburner dashboard (or any other services). NOT SUBSCRIPTION FORM.

6. Choose either 2 or 3 colums.

This is not any complex method or anything. In fact it is just a recommendation on how you can manipulate the 3 widgetized sidebar in Freicurv in order to make your blog into 2 or 3 columns. View the complete Freicurv visual structure here. This structure is created by Flisterz for his wordpress theme.

To achieve a normal 3-column layout, you just fill up the 3 given sidebars widget - Sidebar 1, Sidebar 2 and Sidebar 3(optional). The demo site is using this method so you view the example there.

To achieve a 2-column layout, you can simply ignore Sidebar 1 and Sidebar 2, and fill up all your widgets inside Sidebar 3. See a screenshot of a 2 columns Freicurv. I leave 2 widgets into Sidebar 1 and Sidebar 2 there; just to help you visualize the position of those, hopefully.

Instructions

1. This template require 5 HTML/Javascript widget and one Feed Widget.

HTML1 - the horizontal top menu
HTML2 - RSS feed link in top Header
HTML3 - About me section
HTML4 - the Search Box
HTML5 - bottom navigation link.
Feed1 - is the Recent Post Widget
All other widgets are optional and Custom Links widgets.

2. Horizontal Top menu use following code.

3. Recent Post widget

Add a Feed widget and enter your RSS feed url Change Title as Recent Posts or Entries.

Later, I will write a post for this widget and I will give a javascript file. Using that you can customize the recent post widget.

4. Set the Date format.

To have a date like on the demo site, then your blog post time stamp must be set on this format
"Thursday, January 12, 2007" Please refer to this article here (date format on blogger) to make sure that you set the right date.

5. Bottom Navigation Link.

Use following code It same as Horizontal menu code with one Top link.
